Role Overview
The Purchasing Officer at DINO FINO Operations Ltd. plays a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement of furniture, kitchens, bedrooms, and related products, while supporting the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Working closely with the Head of Department and collaborating with the Sales, Design, Warehouse, and Accounts teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, maintaining strong supplier relationships, monitoring order progress, and ensuring products are delivered within agreed lead times. This role requires a proactive, organised, and commercially minded individual who can contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
Purchase furniture, kitchens, bedrooms, and other related products in accordance with company requirements.
Issue purchase orders accurately and on time.
Monitor order confirmations and production schedules.
Ensure purchases comply with company budgets, policies, and procedures.
Coordinate special and bespoke customer orders.
Ensure goods are delivered within agreed lead times.
Supplier Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, reliability, and service.
Resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies promptly.
Cost Control
Continuously seek opportunities to reduce purchasing costs and improve margins.
Compare supplier quotations and negotiate the best value for the company.
Analyse purchasing data and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with the Sales Department regarding customer orders and project requirements.
Coordinate with the Design Team to ensure product specifications and project needs are met.
Liaise with the Warehouse regarding incoming deliveries and stock availability.
Support the Accounts Department by verifying supplier invoices and resolving discrepancies.
Communicate delivery schedules and updates to relevant departments.
Administration
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Ensure supplier price lists and commercial terms are kept up to date.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding purchase orders.
Maintain organised records of supplier communications, quotations, and agreements.

Fluency in English; Italian would be considered an asset.
Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the furniture, interiors, or construction industry, will be considered a strong asset.

Additional Responsibilities Specific to DINO FINO
Coordinate with the Sales Team to ensure customer orders are placed promptly and accurately.
Monitor supplier lead times and proactively communicate any delays.
Follow up regularly with suppliers to ensure commitments are met.
Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels for selected product categories.
Support management with purchasing-related reporting and supplier performance reviews.
Contribute to improving purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency.
