HEAD OF SALES + MARKETING
The Head of Sales + Marketing will be responsible for driving sales strategies, overseeing the sales team’s operations, and enhancing marketing efforts to achieve organizational goals. This leadership role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure that sales targets are met and that customer satisfaction is prioritized.
Key Sales Responsabilities:
- Oversee Sales Operations: Manage daily operations of the sales team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in achieving sales objectives.
- Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales team members, providing coaching and support for their growth and development.
- Delegation of Responsibilities: Assign authority and responsibility to sales team members while supervising and reviewing their activities to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Reporting: Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales reports to the CEO and senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO in establishing strategic plans for sales operations, focusing on lead generation and target achievement.
- Objective Setting: Assist in setting individual sales team objectives, clearly communicating these goals to team members.
- Client Support: Aid sales team members in preparing and delivering client presentations, proposals, quotes, and in closing sales effectively.
- Follow-Up Assistance: Support sales team members with follow-up calls to enhance customer relationships and increase conversion rates.
- Revenue Generation: Propose new revenue streams and innovative sales strategies to maximize profit.
- Financial Oversight: Track discrepancies between projected and actual revenue forecasts, providing justifications for variances.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the company’s product range and unique selling points to advise clients effectively.
- Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with all organizational members, suppliers, and clients to foster a positive working environment.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Marketing Responsabilities:
- Market Research: Conduct customer surveys and analyze findings to inform management of significant trends and insights.
- Inventory Management: Perform quarterly stock-takes of display items and ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Showroom Management: Ensure that the showroom is clean, well-stocked, properly priced, and safe for customers, staff, and visitors; manage opening and closing operations.
- Industry Leadership: Assist the CEO in maintaining a competitive position in the industry through innovative marketing and sales strategies
- Develop Marketing Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
- Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of the brand identity, ensuring all marketing materials and communications reflect the company’s values and messaging.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and customer preferences to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between marketing and sales strategies, providing them with the necessary tools and materials to succeed.
- Performance Analysis: Analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through metrics and KPIs, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Implement and manage CRM strategies to enhance customer engagement, retention, and loyalty.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring that expenditures align with financial goals and provide a return on investment.
- Public Relations: Oversee public relations efforts, including press releases, media relations, and community outreach, to enhance the company’s image and visibility.
- Event Management: Plan and coordinate promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase the company’s products and connect with potential clients.
- Liase with the Marketing Agency on the following points:-
- Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, and website optimization, to enhance online visibility and engagement.
- Content Creation: Manage the creation of marketing content, including brochures, product descriptions, advertising materials, and digital content.
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns for new product launches, promotions, and events, ensuring all initiatives are on-brand and effectively communicated.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership roles
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail or related field (MBA is a plus)
- Certification in sales or marketing is desirable
