Role Overview
The Accounts Officer at DINO FINO Operations Ltd. plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations by ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining reliable accounting records, and contributing to the efficient day-to-day running of the Finance Department.
Working closely with the Head of Accounts and Accounts Executive, the successful candidate will help uphold the company’s financial integrity while collaborating with other departments to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare supplier payment runs in accordance with agreed payment terms.
Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders where applicable.
Maintain accurate supplier account records
Accounts Receivable
Prepare customer invoices and receipts.
Allocate customer payments accurately.
Assist with debtor management and follow up on outstanding balances.
Process credit notes where required.
Financial Administration
Assist in maintaining accurate books of account.
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare accounting schedules and reconciliations.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
Internal Coordination
Liaise with the Purchasing Department regarding supplier invoices.
Work closely with the Sales Department to resolve customer account queries.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records.
Act as a professional point of contact for suppliers and customers on finance-related matters.
General Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records within the ERP system.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and internal controls.
Support the Head of Accounts and Accounts Executive with additional finance-related duties as required.
Undertake additional finance and administrative responsibilities as reasonably required to support the effective operation of the Finance Department.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- An A’ Level qualification in Accounting or a related field. Candidates pursuing further studies in Accounting or Finance will be considered favourably.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Officer position will be considered a strong asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience using accounting or ERP software will be considered an asset.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
