Vertical gardens or green home decorations; it’s time to make your house feel like a home!

The third month of the year brings with it a touch of green. Whether it’s because the scenery is getting greener or due to the fact that St Patrick’s Day is celebrated during this month, March is commonly associated with the colour green. Green is the colour of life, renewal, nature and energy.

Here are a few tips and tricks on how you can incorporate the colour of nature into your home.

Create a Vertical Garden

Vertical gardens are one of the top interior design trends for 2020 and with good reason. Floor-to-ceiling green decor walls create a sense of relaxation and tranquillity in the home. You can allow a small section dedicated to an interior garden or else go big with an entire wall of green delight.

Another way to integrate this trend is to combine it with other materials such as wooden textures and mirrors. Your interior garden will give shape, texture and a pop of colour needed in the living space. Feel free to be creative! Vertical gardens can be included in living rooms such as behind our Air Wall Unit, in dining rooms similar to our Cinquepuntozero Living Space, and even in bathrooms such as in our LAGO Punto Mirror.

Add Personality to Wallpaper

If vertical gardens are too much for you, you can always add a touch of green to your wallpaper. Wallpaper allows you to get creative but always in a subtler and simpler way. Our Instabilelab wallpapers give depth and feeling to any room. Wallpapers can turn any space from neutral to eye-catching and with the colour green, you will definitely do that!

Get Creative with Accessories

If you don’t want green walls or vertical gardens, you can always incorporate green in your accessories. One simple way is to add green bottles in your living space. Not only will you be recycling and putting in your input towards a greener environment but also giving a homely feeling to your house. And we have the perfect place where you can place your green bottle accessories. Use our Mojito Wood trolley bar designed by Marino Burba by Cattelan Italia to put your green bottles on display.

Add Green to your Furniture

If green is your favourite colour, this might be an appropriate option for you. Kitchen cabinets in your favourite shade of green? Or you can even go as far as having your kitchen island in nature’s colour. You can incorporate green in the bedroom and have your bedroom cabinets in this shade. Remember – green has a variety of shades which means that you can go as subtle or as bold as your heart desires.

Plants, Plants, Plants!

We’ve left the obvious option for last. We all know that a house is not a home without the inclusion of plants. Plants make any room look brighter and you can include the colour green in your life without the need of thinking about anything too complicated or bold. A tall ficus would go perfectly next to our Minerva armchair by Marinelli Home and a small cast iron plant would go brilliantly placed on our Westin console by Cattelan Italia.

Have we inspired you to go green yet?! Get on board this 2020 trend and start including the colour green in your home.
